Busy!!!
Well I've been on the grind the past couple weeks. Finished welding the frame and all the mounting tabs, tapped the axel plates for struts, finished my tattoo, started polishing parts and did a final mock up. Off to powder coating this weekend then making a mad dash to get this thing together in tim for pinned! I'm predicting the first engine roar at about 2 am on may 17th haha. Can't wait!!!

progress
I made a few more steps forward on getting this thing rolling soon. Got the seat mounts, fender mounts and battery box tacked in place, pulling the engine back out to polish, then taking the frame into the shop to tig weld all the mounts and get powder coated. I picked up a few old power line glass insulators a few weeks ago and had this idea to turn one into a tail light. After a little brain storming I came up with a prototype. I'll need to figure out a good mounting system for it and make sure it has some rubber around it so the glass wont crack from vibration, but it looks pretty cool. I spent Sunday washing and riding bikes and cars. I'm really starting to love my econo pick up too.

Weekend freakend
Well it was a busy weekend, but for the first time I actually stuck around my neck of the woods and got some work done. It was nice enjoying some down time and taking a few steps forward. Bought a new truck, found some old family photos, got the engine in and the hard tail rolling, and Jess made this sweet yarn Ohio picture.

Rambles
Sort of a random weekend, checked out a few old trucks I'm interested in. 1960 Chevy Apache, and 1972 Chevy c20. Also went down to Columbus and spent a casual Saturday at the motortrash garage. Went to the Akron motorcycle swap meet, saw this sweet little 1980 sportster build, some really good inspiration for mine. Also picked up the best t-shirt ever printed.
