Cash

Had a pretty eventful weekend. Made it down to the capital city to hang out with a few of the locals and go to a Johnny Cash tribute show. There were about 12 bands that all did a small set to pay tribute to the man in black. A real headturner for me was a local band called the Bennie James shotgun co. Sunday I went out to a little swap meet and kicked the dirt around for a while. Finally snagged a few deals and ended the day shooting the shit at steak and shake.

Patience

All I can think about is getting back on 2 wheels. The weather is starting to turn (slightly) and I'm counting down the days until I can put a few miles on the cycle. I still have a lot to get done with it, but all the pieces are falling into place. I should be getting my new hardtail in a couple weeks, rewiring will be done right after, then just tweaking the last few things will probably take the longest, ya know...because it seems like it will be the easiest. Here's to splitting legs and lanes!!!

On the horizon

I'm in the works of a lot of projects right now. I'm excited to finally get the wheels spinning. The frame should be in soon for my 79 sportster build. Crashing a few more swap meets the next couple weekends to track down the last few parts I need. Getting some great idea's to do some very cool things, with very cool people also. I don't want to jump the gun yet, but I can picture life being a whole lot cooler pretty soon.

Also found a pretty cool clothing shop. Bandit brand Deffinitely a style I love to see, and some good idea's for getting my own shop up and running.

Born to be free

Ive been a little down and late the past few days, sicker than sick. Anyway, a lot has been going on. I am getting parts together for my sportster build, working on some side projects and planning for all my summer trips. Not to mention dealing with this insane Ohio weather. I made a few choice purchases from the good guys at Lowbrow Customs last week. A few t-shirts, a couple DVD's, a custom hardtail for my sporty and my raffle ticket and to win 1 of 2 69 shovel heads at the Born free 4 show this summer in California. Scooping up a few of my budds and making a road trip out this June. So pumped for it!

Summertime blues

I've been itching lately to get out on the bike, what with the unseasonably warm weather we've had. I'm really looking forward to all the cycle events, meet ups, camp and rides going on this summer.

Bro's before Hoes

Took a trip down to Cincinnati, OH this weekend with a few buds for the Lowbrow customs / Biltwell Brodown. It was a night full of cold PBR, all my smelliest friends, some great new friends, and a bit of debauchery peppered in. All I can say, is I will never look at a strippers butthole again. The night ended with a killer show from Dandelion Death. I am already excited for next year.

On a lighter note. I am slowly collecting parts for my 79 sportster rebuild. I've picked up some cool stuff at a few local swap meets and recently just got a stock frame to cut up and hardtail, and all new wiring that I'll be making a harness for. I got the stock 1980 frame from a guy named Jeff that I met at a swap meet. Turns out he lives basically next door to my childhood home. Stopped over and checked out his awesome rides, which included a 48 pan head, a nice 67 shovel chop, and a 37 flat head in a 57 pan frame. I am really getting excited to put some late nights in over the next few months.

Low Bro's

Gearing up to take a ride down to Cincinnati this weekend for the Lowbrow custom/ Biltwell inc. Brodown. There is a larger dealer expo at the convention center and an after party for all the creeps. Music provided by Dandelion Deathpunch. Check them.

The start of it all

In 2007 I decided to buy my first bike. I grew up always remembering my dads 74 sportster, but knowing NOTHING about bikes at the time I went with cheap and easy to learn on. I ended up getting talked into a 2005 Honda 250. By the time I hit 2nd gear, I realized I needed something bigger and better. I rode it for a few years, made some changes, and it ended up looking pretty cool when all was done. We all have to start somewhere right?

The beginning of something special.

About a year ago I had the idea to quit my day job and open a store. The concept was pretty simple. I wanted to promote all things moto. I finally made the decision in september of 2011 to quit my job and move home for a while to get this thing off the ground. Since then I've surrounded myself with people that support the idea, and have the same interests. I'm almost half way through completing a degree in welding technology and plan to start making custom parts soon. For now, this blog will be my outlet for idea's, my foundation for things to come, and a sanctuary of all things sickle.
